Your career deserves a partner, not a database.
Armitage Collective is a curated network of Victorian teachers. Joining means one recruiter who knows you, introductions only to schools where you’d genuinely thrive, and a CV that never goes anywhere without your say-so.
Six promises, and I keep all of them.
-
You’re a person, not a record
We start with a proper conversation about what you teach, how you teach, and what your next chapter needs to look like. That’s what gets you matched. A person makes every decision about who hears about what, not a system.
-
We match needs, not job specs
A move only gets put in front of you when the school’s needs and yours genuinely align. That’s why placements made here tend to last.
-
You get the full picture before you decide
The school, the team, the students, the timetable and the catch. All of it up front, so you never spend an evening on an application for something that was never right for you.
-
Nothing moves without your permission
Your CV is never sent to a school, ever, without a phone call to you first. Discretion is the default, especially if you’re currently employed and would rather your principal heard it from you.
-
Honest advice, even when it’s “stay put”
If the right move is no move, I’ll say so. This is a long-term relationship, not a transaction, and it only works if you can trust the advice when it costs me a fee.
-
You will never be asked for money
At no point will I ask you for a payment of any kind. Not to register, not to be put forward, not when you start. Schools pay the fee, teachers never do.
Classroom to leadership, right across Victoria.
Permanent, ongoing and fixed term roles across primary and secondary. Classroom teaching through to heads of faculty and school leadership. Independent, Catholic, government and special education schools across Melbourne and Victoria.
If you teach something hard to fill, VCE sciences, maths, languages, Product Design, Learning Diversity, you are in a stronger position than you think. Those are the roles schools call me about first.
Moving at leadership level?
Deputy and principal-level moves need a different kind of care. Quiet conversations, no advertising, no CV in circulation, and nothing that starts your name moving around the sector before you are ready.
How leadership search worksComing to Melbourne from overseas?
Teachers from the UK, Ireland, Canada, the USA and New Zealand are a real part of this network. I’d rather talk to you six months before you fly than the week after you land. Most are placed before they arrive.

Five minutes now, and you’re on the radar for roles that never make it to an ad. No live role that fits? Register anyway. The best placements usually start months before the vacancy exists.
Not looking right now?
That’s usually the best time to have the conversation. No pitch, no pressure, and nothing goes anywhere without your say-so.
